Here are the top beauty launch picks of the week from TheIndustry.beauty team.

Universal Skin Solution Dermal Spray, Prequel

Probably one of the most hyped UK arrivals of the year, Prequel, the modern dermatological skincare brand, has now hit this side of the pond and landed exclusively at Space NK.

Prequel is the brainchild of dermatologist (and skincare genius, in my opinion) Dr Samantha Ellis and, for the last couple of years, was my reason for having overweight luggage on my New York trips!

The brand is a no-nonsense, solution-focused skin and bodycare line aimed at all and won’t break the bank, as its affordable price range and generous sizes prove.

The Universal Skin Solution Spray is a hypochlorous acid spray designed to calm, soothe and refresh reactive or compromised skin while supporting a healthy skin barrier. It works for both the face and body, and I use it post-workout or after sun exposure - whenever my skin feels like it needs a hug!

Go take a look at the range, as, to be honest, there isn’t a dud product in it!

One For All Leave-In Elixir, Aveda

I've always been a huge fan of Aveda. I've had my hair cut and dyed in its salons many times, and I love its haircare products as they are vegan, cruelty-free and 99% derived from natural ingredients – and they smell divine!

I'm excited to see that it has now launched a new leave-in elixir that promises not one but 25 haircare benefits in one bottle. These include instant hydration that lasts up to 72 hours, heat protection, frizz control, softness and shine. The key ingredient that makes all of this possible is certified organic moringa oil, which is responsibly sourced from the sun-drenched landscapes of El Progreso, Guatemala. The oil is renowned for providing deep scalp hydration, strengthening hair strands and adding natural shine, thanks to its high concentration of oleic acid, vitamins and antioxidants.

Who would say no to all of that and more, while smelling of rose, jasmine and ylang ylang? (I had to look this one up - it’s a sweet-smelling tropical flower with notes of creamy custard.)

Olivia Atwood Lash Edit, Tatti Lashes

Tatti Lashes’ latest campaign sees TV personality Olivia Attwood join the brand as its new ambassador. As part of the partnership, Attwood becomes the face of the brand’s bestselling Pre-Glued collection and has collaborated with Tatti Lashes CEO and founder Elliot Barton to develop her own exclusive lash style: the ‘Olivia’ Pre-Glued Strip Half Lash, alongside five additional new designs.

The collection reflects Attwood’s preference for versatile, wearable glamour. The ‘Olivia’ lash features a blend of brown and black fibres, designed to offer a softer, more natural-looking finish while adding definition to the eyes.

Alongside the launch, Barton recently spoke to TheIndustry.beauty about the brand’s growth journey, from its beginnings as an independent start-up to its expanding position within the beauty market, as well as the strategies that have shaped its development.

Solstice and Redwood body washes, Harry's

Men’s personal care brand Harry’s has expanded its body wash range with two new scents for the summer: Solstice, with notes of mandarin and musk, and Redwood (a reissue of a fan favourite), with notes of evergreen and thyme.

The scents have been created by a family-owned French fragrance house and are non-stripping (while still lathering perfectly), leaving your skin feeling soft and conditioned.

They’re free from parabens, sulfates and dyes, and are suitable for sensitive skin.

Available now for £5.50 (532ml) at harrys.com.

Cool Girl Body, Hair by Sam McKnight

"Shall we blow-dry it with some body?" my hairdresser asks me hopefully at the end of each session. I always reply in the same way: "You're welcome to try, but it will fall out by the time I get to the car". But then my hairdresser isn't Sam McKnight (nice though she is, this is a crying shame) and she's not using his new Cool Girl Body product.

This new launch from McKnight not only helps inject body into the hair, but it keeps it there all day. It's a plumping and volumising cream that provides the support, strength and resilience your hair needs to hold its style.

Part styling product, part treatment, its formula builds volume three ways. The 'Voluminis' and 'BioStyle CHP' complexes work together to thicken the hair for increased density, while 'Yerbaluxe' fortifies the hair fibre, improving elasticity and resilience. It also contains heat-protecting properties to stave off frizz, which is the enemy of volume.

What's particularly great about it, in my view, is that your hair retains its 'slip' after you've used it; you can run your fingers through it and there are no pulls. In fact, you don't feel like you have any product on your hair at all, which is what I prefer, since I'd largely given up on products because they invariably don't work for me. This, however, does. I may take it to my hairdresser and have her use it on me from now on.

Available from 13 August, priced at £29 for 150ml.
